 Mike Edwards came second in the Henderson XR1200 Trophy behind Jeremy McWilliams riding faultlessly throughout the championship. The team are thrilled with his effort and skill in riding the XR1200 and delighted he put us on the podium at every round with exception to the last round at Cadwell when his gear lever broke off.
The RidersMotorcycles.com team is owned and managed by Phil Jessopp who is a long time supporter of road racing, having previously been the headline sponsor for the World Championship-winning endurance team Phase One.
Riders Racing was formed in 2004 when the team entered Martin Jessopp in the British Superstock Championship onboard a Ducati. Martin then entered the Supersport Championship in 2005, 2006 and 2007 before moving to BSB. For the 2008 BSB season Martin rode a Honda Fireblade, finishing second in the Cup and winning the Airwaves Kick it up a Gear Award, he also continued on a Honda in 2009.
From 2010 Riders Racing is now known as RidersMotorcycles.com as well as the signing of Michael Rutter to race alongside Martin Jessopp in BSB, the team are also competing in the Harley-Davidson XR1200 Trophy with riders Mike ‘Spike' Edwards and Carl Marsden who replaced mid season Sean Emmett.
