Riders held the World Record for the fastest speed through a speed trap of 208 mph at the North West 200 on a Ducati 1198RS. So we know what is required to truly extract the maximum from a motorcycle engine. A Custom Tune will require a programmable ECU interface such as a Power Commander. In addition performance components need to be fitted over a standard factory motorcycle. These might include:

*DynoJet Dynometer runs require the technician to run the engine at maximum revs. You cannot properly tune an engine unless it is stress tested 100%. Under such circumstances engine failure can occur due to underlying pre-existing engine conditions that Riders Motorcycles cannot be held responsible for. ** The rear tyre will deliver maximum engine power to an abrasive roller under conditions that simulate maximum speed. During this process tyre life will be reduced, in some situations a tyre may fail if its condition is not suitable and we may advise against such a test.
