From a very young age Martin was on a bike riding around a field. At the age of five his father bought him a Honda 50cc motocross bike to ride around on and as soon he was 6 he was riding Youth Motocross.

Martin's racing career progressed to South Somerset Schoolboy, BSMA Nationals, BYMX Youth Series, Dutch International Supercross, British Supercross, Aprilia Superteen Challenge, MRO Series GP125 class, R6 Cup, World Endurance Championship, National Superstock Championship, British Supersport, British Superbike Championship & World Supersport.

Off the track Martin is a skilled road racer and has competed in the North West 200 and the Macau GP where he has achieved 2nd place in both 2011 and 2012 plus 3rd in 2014 and another 2nd in 2015.

Martin lives in Yeovil, Somerset. In his off season Martin likes to keep fit, cycling, riding his Motorcross bike, tattoos and watching boxing.
