New Role For Ciaran In Riders Cardiff

We are pleased to announce our latest addition to the Cardiff sales team Ciaran Lewis.  Ciaran started work in our after sales department but really wanted to move into sales, so for 2018 he has made the permanent move over. He brings with him a wealth of bike knowledge and a great can do attitude. Please make him feel welcome.

Ciaran in his own words

I’ve been with the Riders family since August 2016. You’ll recognise me from the Parts & Service departments here in Cardiff. Previously I was the Parts & Service manager for a large Japanese dealership in South West London for 10 years, so you’ll have to excuse my funny accent; I’m still struggling with how to pronounce street names, much to the amusement of my colleagues & customers alike.

I was bought up around Vespa’s & Lambretta’s, and as soon as a crash helmet fitted my head I was pillion, and attending Rally’s across the globe. As soon as I turned 16 I got my CBT sorted, picked up a Gilera ICE, and a Gilera Runner 125 project, and began customising and tuning my own.

Shortly after this and discovering that you could wheelie these bikes, I passed my test and picked up a ’93 CBR600, bolted on a cage and spent every free moment learning to scrape the tail. Sold that on and bought an injected CBR600F to focus on stunting, and a 600RR for my daily road bike.

Unfortunately my 600RR was stolen, and gave me the push to get out of London and onto pastures new.

Currently I’m looking for a new daily bike, but it’s very difficult to pick just one when you’re working in a motorcycle sweet shop! Fortunately I have the opportunity to try all the BMW & Ducati models and I’m currently leaning towards the S1000XR Sport.
